Meet the Expert Behind VETX
AAI, PRC, SBCS, CCIC
I'm Mike, a licensed insurance professional who owns and operates two insurance agencies — an independent commercial insurance agency in California writing policies nationwide (RISKX), and an exclusive Allstate agency in North Carolina. I hold four professional designations: Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI), Professional Risk Communicator (PRC), Small Business Coverage Specialist (SBCS), and Certified Commercial Insurance Consultant (CCIC).
I created VETX because I was frustrated with the state of pet insurance reviews online. Most review sites are run by content marketers who have never read an insurance policy, let alone evaluated the financial stability of an underwriting carrier. I wanted to bring the same analytical rigor I apply to commercial insurance to the pet insurance space.

VETX exists to provide pet owners with the same quality of insurance analysis that commercial insurance buyers receive. We believe every pet owner deserves access to expert-level guidance when choosing health coverage for their animals.
We evaluate pet insurance carriers the way an underwriter evaluates risk: by examining the policy language, the financial strength of the underwriting carrier, the claims experience, and the long-term sustainability of the business model. This is fundamentally different from the approach taken by most pet insurance review sites, which tend to focus on marketing claims and surface-level feature comparisons.
